V.S….do they take things too far?

I was watching television earlier tonight and commercial for
Victoria secret’s came on and I thought wow they really do have no limit to what they show on television.  Yes granted it was only a commercial that was on for about 30 seconds but still in those 30 seconds it really shows a lot more then a person may think.  It’s a girl making sexual movements in a bra and underwear and many people see no problem to that and it really doesn’t bother me either, but you never know who is sitting next to you that this may not be appropriate for them to see.  I started to think more about it and then I remembered during the holiday season the Victoria secret commercial is something that is very sexual and can be borderline pornographic.  They usually show a number of women in this commercial wearing new hot items that women will want to buy.  While doing this they all have little sexual sayings that they whisper to make the commercial more appealing, they are also playing in like silk or lying on a bed while saying these things.  It makes me think who they are trying to target in this type of commercial the women who they are actually selling the bras and underwear to or to their husbands/boyfriends who will end up buying this sexy lingerie for them.  I don’t understand what they are trying to go for by making things this sexual and yes sex does sell but sometimes they take it a little too far in how sexy they get.

Geez… Get used to it! It’s been like this Europe for decades now! That’s the way of the future!

At least in the case of VS, the commercials are for sexy lingerie. So a sexy commercial is definitely appropriate.

But in Europe, you will see these commercials for anything from yoghurt to car tires. They’ve even come up there with what they call “porn chic”, which goes way further than anything you’ve even seen here on TV.

So, take it easy, and accept that there is nothing wrong with sex. That’s indeed a very important part of life, and seeing sexy girls in sexy lingerie on TV should should only make you happy.

First of I would like to say I have no problem with seeing girls in lingerie and I have no problem with companies using sex to sell there products, because obviously in this day in age sex sells and that’s all people think about. I am on the other hand entitled to my opinion and I’m allowed to speak my mind and not be criticized for it. Personally I like Victoria secret and I don’t think there is that big of a problem with their advertising I’m just thinking about the younger audience that might see these advertisements and they are not exactly appropriate for them to see.
I’m sorry I have never been to Europe so I don’t know how they do advertisements over there but I do know that Europe is a country without many boundaries. People are allowed to walk around naked there in more places then the US. I guess you can say we are more conservative country but that’s our choice so respect that. And just to you know I have no problem with sex, and using it in commercials or other advertisements for that matter so don’t tell me to take it easy.
